This fairly long decorative bell is made with five can-shaped bells tied onto a group of dried vines, some of which have their leaves still attached. The bells are hung on green jute twine with a natural wood bead at the bell end and are tied to the vines with an 'antique bronze' crafting wire. The lengths of the twine allow the large beads to clang against the bells for a more complex ring. The twine is used to tied the vines together at the top and then looped for a hanger.
This bell is an experiment as I've never used these vines this way before. They are dried, so to avoid the leaves from breaking off, the bell should be handled a bit carefully - although they always can be glued back on. Also the bell may need some untangling from time to time as the twine can get snagged on the vines. The vines themselves are fairly flexible, even when dry.
We will make sure to package it with great care to protect it during shipment.
(The vines grow on the wall of our studio in our backyard.)
