Description

This cut-out ring of sterling silver depicts a night time scene: three flat-topped mushrooms seem to be communing with the crescent moon above. The ring is very sculptural and three-dimensional as the mushrooms are actually tiny free-standing statues and project outward beyond the ring's face.

The sterling silver is oxidized to really accentuate the mushrooms features - especially their fin-like 'gills' - and the entire nocturnal diorama is framed in a round border, maybe a reference to 'fairy rings'.
