A curb chain is made of sturdy, closely-spaced links that create a chain with a more solid look and feel. The links are cut flat on two sides so that the necklace similarly has two shiny sides, and two less shiny sides. This elegant, delicate chain works well for smaller pendants and those with an antiqued or oxidized finish, as the rhodium-plating is slightly darker in color than unplated sterling silver.
