In the mid-1800's, French occultist Eliphas Levi developed this complex symbol of existence. It represents the the merging of two large concepts.
The first is the Tetragrammaton, a word that is from the Greek and means “the four-lettered name” of God, referring to the four Hebrew letters YHWH.
The second is the pentagram or five-pointed star, of which each point stands for one of the five elements of god and nature: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit (the topmost point). The pentagram also depicts symbols for the then seven planets and alchemical elements.
Together the symbol embodies the totality of both the Divine and the Human.
This is a cut-out necklace with a very occultish look and an antique effect to bring out the detailing and give it a more dramatic look.
