Elbaite crystals are a type of tourmaline used most frequently in creating fine jewelry. The pieces shown here are from both Brazil and Pakistan and are of two main color families: Verdelite (green) and Rubellite: (reddish). Some of these crystals are encrusted with a sparkling "druzy" layer of tiny baby crystals.
Green Elbaite (Verdelite) has strong connections with compassion, patience, and the Earth, and is believed to be helpful in connecting the user connect with nature. It is also used to help promote emotional healing and rejuvenation.
