The Eye of Providence is surrounded by controversy and speculation, but originally the Eye was intended to be a symbol of Good: The Divine keeping protective watch over us earthbound mortals.
This Eye is framed in a pyramid, as it is on the back of a US dollar bill, with the addition of three stepped design elements that help keep the focus on the eye. The ring is a mix of surfaces that are raised and recessed, polished and oxidized dark, curved and straight, all compactly contained within a round disc.
Like the Evil Eye, the Eye of Providence is also worn to protect the wearer from evil, bad luck, spells, and sickness.
