An owl is perched on the bottom of the oval border that frames this little nature scene.

The owl is raised in relief, its rounded body bulging out, and is carefully textured with feathers, beak, eyes and V-shaped eyebrows. He stands out physically and visually from the simple cut-out trees behind which provide a decorative background. In the upper right is a round 'moon' of garnet-red cubic zirconia.

Oxidation, the technique that darkens silver and gives it an antique-like finish, is applied only to the owl and to the bail, which is subtly detailed with a tiny branch.
