Each of the four toe pads of this wolf's paw is decorated with a triquetra knot, and the larger clover-shaped pad of the palm is also accented with three linked and overlapping triquetra knots. The Celtic-inspired paw, with its four sharp claws pointed upward, stands out in relief against a darker textured background, which is framed by a double circle and an outer scalloped border.
Wolves are good-hearted, social creatures and they hunt in packs; if they get separated from each other during the hunt they communicate their locations to the other wolves by howling. When conditions are right, the howls can travel up to 10 miles. Wolves howl for other reasons too, but contrary to folklore and hearsay, wolves don't howl at the moon.
