Amazingly, the ginkgo biloba tree dates all the way back to the time of the dinosaurs.
And according to Chinese tradition it is under a ginkgo tree that Confucius is said to have given his teachings.
The ginkgo leaf has a very distinctive fan shape with a wavy surface. Fine veins radiate from the stem, which in turn becomes the adjustable band that curls around your finger and then does a graceful twirl just below the ginkgo leaf. The stem itself has a rough-hewn woody look.
* Even though this is an adjustable ring, please be aware that sterling silver is not a material that can be bent very many times before it breaks. To avoid damage to your ring, adjust it to your finger just once so that it can be slipped on and off without bending it, like a fixed size ring.
