This compact pendant features an octagram - or eight-pointed star - in a round frame and raised against a darkened and textured background.
The geometry is such that the symbol's innermost points of intersection create a small braided circle or wreath, which is then echoed in its round frame.
While not as widespread as the pentagram the octagram, with its symmetry and starburst-like design has its own unique appeal.
Among its several meanings, the octagram is often used to make reference to the Wiccan Wheel of the Year with its eight major days of celebration as well as to the Buddhist eight-spoked wheel representing the Eightfold Path.
