These little pendants started with raw amethyst crystals from Dodoma, Tanzania — a gorgeous, deep purple color, with natural points, the kind of crystal that looks like it came straight out of the earth.
Each crystal is a little different, so the first thing I do is fit a polymer clay cap to that specific stone and add a twisted bail. No two caps are exactly alike because no two crystals are exactly alike.
From there I hand-sculpt the vines, leaves and moon and then emboss the backside with an eye or triskele. It then goes into the electroforming bath, where copper slowly grows over the entire surface, following every curve and detail of the sculpted clay underneath.
That's what gives it that warm, textured, almost ancient quality. The copper picks up every bit of hand-worked surface. Then it's oxidized, which darkens the recesses and makes all that sculpted detail come to life.

Triple Spiral (Triskele): One of the oldest symbols in human history, found carved into Neolithic stone monuments across Ireland and Western Europe. It represents motion, cycles, and the interconnectedness of things — earth, sea, and sky; past, present, and future; birth, life, and death. Amethyst fits naturally into that framework. It's a stone with a long history of use across many cultures and traditions, associated with clarity and calm — the kind of stone that shows up again and again across time, just like the spiral itself.
Evil Eye: A protective symbol used across Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and South Asian cultures for thousands of years. The idea is simple: it watches back. It's worn to deflect negative energy and ill intent. This one pairs especially well with amethyst, which has one of the longest histories as a protective stone of any crystal — the ancient Greeks wore it specifically to guard against harm. The combination feels intentional in a way that goes back a long, long time.
