These tiny earrings, modelled after a hare's head, are very three dimensional earrings and are nicely done with realistic features. The ears are obviously very prominent and the button-like nose is also very distinct, even at this small scale. The detailing is all very fine and further accentuated with oxidation.
Hares and rabbits are traditional Wiccan symbols of fertility, rebirth, and abundance. As such they are associated with springtime, which is the cycle of growth and renewal, and with Ostara, both the goddess and the holiday. Many people also link them with the moon and with lunar goddesses in general.
