Two snakes and two infinity symbols are merged to create this pendant.
The overall form is that of a Celtic triquetra knot. All Celtic knots, because they are 'endless' with no beginning and no end, are symbols of infinity. At second glance, you can see that the top of the triquetra is actually a snake's head, its long slender body interwoven and overlapping to form the three-cornered knot.
Triquetras often have an inner circle woven into their centers to reinforce the infinity theme, and this one is an ouroboros, the head of which has the same three-circle marking as the triquetra snake.
