Two faceted chalcedony gemstones, one blue and one aqua, are framed in an elaborate teardrop-shaped setting made of copper-wire and copper beads. A variety of wire is used - round, flat, thick and thin - creating a multitude of shapes - swirls, braids, curves, curls and wraps.
Each of our wire-wrapped pendants is thoughtfully made, so as to complement the unique shape and features of each stone.
About Chalcedony: Chalcedony is a type of quartz that is translucent with a waxy luster. It can occur in a wide range of colors, from white to dark brown, including the pale shades of blue and aqua that can be seen in this pendant.
It is believed to be a stone that promotes brotherhood and goodwill through feelings of calm, peace, tranquility, and compassion.
About Copper: Please note that copper wire naturally darkens over time (we will include cleaning instructions if you like that bright penny look). Also, when worn directly against skin, copper can react with your sweat to form a green layer of copper carbonate. This chemical reaction is not harmful, but if it bothers you, we recommend only wearing the pendant on top of clothing.
