An elegant teardrop-shaped 'cage' of square copper wire holds a raw pale blue celestite crystal suspended within its graceful web. The front of the pendant features four loops framing the stone, with a thinner gauge wire arranged in a cross-bracing pattern between them. The outer frame and bail have a slightly hammered finish.
The decorative bail is integral with the cage and is formed of twisting, wrapped and braided copper wire in an asymmetrical style.
Each of our wire-wrapped stones is thoughtfully done so as to complement its unique shape and features. No two stones are exactly alike. Because these stones, being a natural product, vary in color and clarity, I have always been careful to choose the prettiest side for the front.
Celestite is translucent mineral in a light sky blue color, hence its name, which is derived from a Latin word meaning "celestial". Interestingly, it has another relationship to the sky - fireworks. It is the main source of the element strontium, used to make red-colored fireworks.
Benefits of Celestite: Celestite is believed to promote emotional healing, mental clarity, inner peace, and stress reduction. It is also associated with the throat and crown chakras and is believed to help balance and align these energy centers, enhancing communication, connection, and higher consciousness. About Copper: Please note that copper wire naturally darkens over time (we will include cleaning instructions if you like that bright penny look). Also, when worn directly against skin, copper can react with your sweat to form a green layer of copper carbonate. This chemical reaction is not harmful, but if it bothers you, we recommend only wearing the pendant on top of clothing.
