A long dragon is coiled into a circle with its head at the top, shown in profile and suggesting the figurehead of a Viking ship. The head is framed on each side by spike-like spines and the body is decorated with Celtic knots, which add to the Viking character. The knots are raised and polished to stand out boldly against their darkened oxidized background. A tiny triskele accents the integral bail in a similar way.
In the East, the dragon is a positive symbol of many good things: luck, prosperity, longevity, benevolence, honor, success, and power, among others. In this pendant the dragon is posed in the shape of a circle, an age old symbol of eternity - the same meaning as the Celtic knots that decorate it. Everything considered, this pendant seems meant to be worn like a charm that will bring positive things forever.
