Translucent blue-gray kyanite crystals are wrapped with two kinds of copper wire in a swirling design. Smooth, elegant square wire is complemented by delicate twisted wire for a beautiful contrast in textures. Each stone is thoughtfully wire-wrapped by hand to complement its unique shape and features and to keep it secure.
Because these crystals, being a natural product, vary in color and clarity, I have always been careful to choose the prettiest side for the front. No two pendants are exactly alike.
About blue kyanite: This mineral's name was appropriately taken from the Greek word cyanos for 'blue' or 'cyan'. It is believed to cleanse and stimulate all of the Chakras, and the Throat Chakra in particular. It is also used for meditation and for communication, and is believed to promote a calm mind.
About Copper: Please note that copper wire naturally darkens over time (we will include cleaning instructions). Also, when worn directly against skin, copper can react with your sweat to form a green layer of copper carbonate. This chemical reaction is not harmful, but if it bothers you, we recommend only wearing the pendant on top of clothing.
