Faden crystals occur naturally over many eons when two rock formations split from each other. A quartz vein develops in the gap between the two, and as the two formations slowly drift away from each other, the quartz vein 'stretches' to fill the gap. Often this results in a 'string' that can be seen running through the center of the crystal.
Each of these Faden crystals is thoughtfully wire-wrapped by hand to complement its unique shape and features and to keep it secure. Because these crystals, being a natural product, vary in clarity, I have always been careful to choose the prettiest side for the front. No two pendants are exactly alike.

About Copper: Please note that copper wire naturally darkens over time (we will include cleaning instructions if you like that bright penny look).
