Chunks of raw amethyst geodes are wrapped with two kinds of copper wire in a swirling design. Smooth, elegant square wire is complemented by delicate twisted wire for a beautiful contrast in textures. Each stone is thoughtfully wire-wrapped by hand to complement its unique shape and features and to keep it secure.
These crystals are a natural product and the color and clarity of the crystals varies. No two pendants are exactly alike.
Amethyst: The word Amethyst comes from the Greek word améthystos, meaning "not intoxicated". Ancient Greeks thought it was useful against overindulgence and both wore it as jewelry and carved drinking vessels from it. It is thought to be a stone of tranquility, calmness, and peace, and is considered to be one of the most powerful and protective stones.
About Copper: Please note that copper wire naturally darkens over time (we will include cleaning instructions). Also, when worn directly against skin, copper can react with your sweat to form a green layer of copper carbonate. This chemical reaction is not harmful, but if it bothers you, we recommend only wearing the pendant on top of clothing.
