This mystical necklace celebrates the ancient Celts' worship of nature; they deeply respected the forces of nature and believed that the natural world was inhabited by spirits and gods.
The crescent moon backdrop has a wispy almost vine-like look due to its infill of Celtic knots which spiral out from a pentacle whose five-pointed star is done in a similar Celtic knot style.
To the right side of the moon, where the points of the crescent converge, is the real focus of the pendant: A Green Man whose face seems to grow out of a cluster of leaves and whose mouth sprouts more foliage.
The composition is asymmetric by design – the green man is by far both larger in size and more three-dimensional than any of the other elements – which helps make this a very interesting and unique necklace. Antiquing brings out the textures and details and gives the pendant an aged look.
