Most people associate this distinctive musical instrument with Ireland, and with good reason.
For one, it's the official symbol of the Republic of Ireland, appearing on her coat of arms, coins, passports and other official documents. And for another, it's also an integral part of the well-known Guinness Beer's company's labels and advertising.
It's best known as an Irish harp, aka Celtic or Gaelic harp. Or even Clàrsach and Cláirseach in the native tongues.
The stout yet gracefully curving shape is decorated with patterns of Celtic knots, into which four sound holes are cleverly integrated. The straightness of the strings are a contrasting relief to the surrounding curves.
A fun-to-wear pair of earrings with a traditional touch inspired by a beautiful musical instrument.
