Imperial Topaz is one of the rarest and most valuable varieties of topaz, prized for its vivid golden-yellow, sherry, and reddish-orange hues. It is significantly rarer than standard blue topaz (which is typically heat-treated). Unheated, natural Imperial Topaz falls into the upper luxury tier of colored gemstones.

These 2 specimens come from the Ouro Preto mine in Brazil, where most Imperial Topaz is mined.

They are about the same width: 6 - 7 mm. 
- A is about 12 mm tall and weighs 0.9 grams
- B is about 21 mm tall and weighs 1.2 grams
