A Celtic heart is just the beginning of this charming pendant design.
Here the interwoven bands that make up the heart are gracefully extended above, below and to both side of the pendant, ending in tiny curls that pair up as settings for each of four tiny amethyst gemstones. The resulting labyrinth of curving bands gives the pendant an ornate character and also makes finding the heart 'hidden' within it more fun.
Like most Celtic knot designs, this one is also done with a cut-out technique to emphasize all the ins and outs and overlappings of the knot.
There is a very subtle dome shape to the pendant, which helps to give it a fullness consistent with its overall design.
