How to Add Charms to Your Bracelet

When you buy a charm bracelet from our store, we attach the charms for free, but I know that at some time in the future, you may wish to add more charms or change the orientation of the ones you already have.

I put together this quick visual guide to show you how easy it is to add or remove the charms yourself. You can actually add or remove charms using just your hands, but it is more difficult than using pliers because the jump rings are so small.

How to add charms to your bracelet

 

 1. Locate the opening in the jump ring.

2. On either side of the opening grasp it with your fingers on one side and the pliers on the other.

3. Push open the ring by moving your fingers and the pliers in opposite directions.

4. Take the bracelet and loop one of the links into the open jump ring.

5. Just like in step 2, put your fingers and the pliers on either side of the jump ring and close it.

6. Use the pliers to squeeze the jump ring to make sure it is closed tight.

All done! You've now successfully added a new charm to your bracelet!
