This gorgeous tree of life pendant is both impressively large, yet also delicate because of the intricately woven branches and roots and the texture of the trunk. Theban letters along the top and bottom add an additional layer of visual interest and a tiny triquetra decorates the pendant loop.
Written in Theban above the branches is the text "As Above, So Below", and underneath the roots is written "As Within, So Without".
The Theban alphabet was first published in 1518, in a book of magical alphabets called Polygraphia. Today, it is also referred to as the Witches' Alphabet and is used for carving, writing names, and writing in one's Book of Shadows. It is useful for obscuring the meaning of a text while giving it a mystical quality.
The meaning of the Tree of Life varies for different cultures, but it seems to have overarching themes about one's connection to the universe, being part of a family, growing and developing as a person, and immortality.
