This small round pendant is decorated with the face of Aztec sun god Tonatiuh at its center. The face is depicted with its characteristic long nose ring extending downward, round earrings, headband decorated with rings, and curving concentric lines to symbolize the rays the god is emanating.

The pendant, which has a slightly domed surface, has a wide border with a running block pattern, which calls to mind a calendar stone. It is oxidized to accentuate the details and give it an aged look.
