The simple idea behind this double spiral ring accounts for much of its appeal. All three of its parts – the two spirals plus the band – are made of one long continuous piece of sterling silver that is almost 1/16 inch in diameter. The ring begins at the center of the first spiral and unwinds itself to become the band, which then encircles your finger and winds itself in the opposite direction to become the second spiral, ending at its center.
* Even though this is an adjustable ring, please be aware that sterling silver is not a material that can be bent very many times before it breaks. To avoid damage to your ring, adjust it to your toe or finger just once so that it can be slipped on and off without bending it, like a fixed size ring. And do not lend it out to anyone else with a different finger size as this usually results in even more bending.
The spiral is an ancient symbol and has come to have many meanings over the years: things feminine, the Cosmos, change, and nature among them. It is also a double symbol of one's life journey: Tracing the spiral outward it represents one's path from the egocentric self outward to a more universal consciousness. Conversely, the inward spiral symbolizes one's journey from the outer material world in search of one's true inner spirit.
