A crescent with the profile of a traditional Man-in-the-Moon is decorated with three small mushrooms, all different sizes, perched on the lower horn, while above there is a small bezel-set natural rainbow moonstone cabochon looking like a tiny full moon. The moon's face is gently detailed, with the mushrooms' more dramatic features, especially the fine gills of their undersides, providing contrast. A subtle use of oxidation sets them off from the smooth and shiny surfaces of the rest of the pendant.
