This charming round pendant is filled with celestial images of a large sun radiating sunbeams partially obscured by Chinese-style clouds, a thin sliver of a crescent moon, two four-pointed stars, and a few tiny planets. The figures are all raised in relief against a recessed background that has been darkened with oxidation that really makes them vividly stand out.

Clouds such as the ones in this pendant are similar to traditional Chinese 'auspicious' clouds, which are considered lucky, as they bring rain to make things grow.
