A winged dragon uncharacteristically climbs DOWN a crescent moon, its head resting on the lower horn and the end of its tail wrapped around the top. The dragon's veined wings and scaled reptilian skin are both carefully detailed, and the moon is decorated with a tiny pentagram at its center with Celtic-inspired knots above and below it, all cut out. The whole pendant has been oxidized to accentuate the details.
In the East, the dragon is a positive symbol of many good things: luck, prosperity, longevity, benevolence, honor, success, and power, among others. The pentagram and Celtic knots are both often used as symbols of eternity. So with these two elements combined this pendant could be intended to bring good luck forever.
