Broom Symbolism: The traditional witch's broom was made from an ash handle with the twigs from a birch tree tied to the end with thin pieces of willow wood. The broom is a symbol of the union of masculine energies (the phallic handle) and feminine energies (the birch used for the bristles is thought of as having a feminine energy) and is often used as a tool for cleansing and purifying a space before a ritual.
Contrasting Textures: The circle on this pendant is smooth and shiny, serving as a nice contrast to the highly-detailed texture of the brooms.
