A snake's long body curls into a figure of eight - the ancient symbol for Infinity - and in doing so also becomes the ouroboros symbol, a snake devouring its own tail. The snake's head at the center of the ring's face is bordered by a crescent moon on the left side and by a sun on the right, both on a dark and recessed background.
